This customer called Olympic Restoration Systems with an urgent situation. A skunk had gotten under their house, in their crawl space, and sprayed during the late evening the night before they called us. Of course, the smell was horrible. The smell was so bad that the customer slept out on the porch with a sleeping bag that evening. They were having a birthday party for one of their grandson’s the next day and needed a quick resolution. They wanted to know where and how the skunk got into the crawl space. While Olympic Restoration Systems was at their home, they also wanted to have the dehumidifier checked to see if there was any damage and to see if it was working properly. They have nice hardwood floors and they appeared to be getting too dry and were separating at the seams.

We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Darrin, to the property for a free basement inspection and estimate. Darrin found the source of the problem and presented the homeowner with a solution to permanently keep his basement dry. The homeowner accepted the proposal, and proceeded with basement waterproofing from Olympic Restoration Systems. 

This solution included sealing the walls and part of the floor with Permaflex, and installing an UltraSump sump pump.
