This homeowner called after she noticed potential mold growth in her crawl space. She was concerned that the mold in the crawl space could make its way into the home, causing musty odors and poor air quality. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Darrin, to the property for a free crawl space inspection and estimate. Darrin found evidence of moisture issues in the crawl space that could lead to mold growth and many other humidity issues within the home. He presented a solution that involved encapsulating the crawl space and closing off outside air to create a conditioned space. The homeowner was pleased with the solution and proceeded with a full crawl space encapsulation from Olympic Restoration Systems.

This customer called Olympic Restoration Systems letting us know that they were having a problem with small animals getting into one of the 2 large, different, crawl spaces that they had underneath their home. One of the crawl spaces was somewhat sealed. The customer was wanting to get some ventilation into that crawl space, because there was high humidity and some condensation down there. The 2nd crawl space that they had, had a liner in it. The liner had been damaged. This was the crawl space that the small animals were getting into under the home. The customer said that the animals had done the damage to the liner. The customer wanted to have that damaged liner replaced. They also wanted to have something done to their crawl space to prevent the animals getting into the crawl space.
When Olympic Restoration Systems was contacted for an assessment of their crawl space, an appointment was scheduled for them. We visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with a crawl space encapsulation and a radon mitigation system for the 2 different crawl spaces in their home.
This customer was wanting something to resolve the water issues that they were having in their basement. They always had standing water on the floor of the basement. The walls had moisture and condensation, all the time, enough that there would be water running down the walls. If the walls did dry up some, there were water marks left that stained the walls. They had a sump pump in their basement, but they felt that was ineffective for anything, except for draining, once there was enough water to be pumped out. If they left anything on the floor, there was so much moisture, that there were rust rings left on the floor. They had their home heating/air system, and their water heater in the basement, and there was rust beginning to appear on the systems. They had them sitting on elevated wooden platforms. The wooden platforms had water damage to them. There was also a very musty odor in the basement.
