This customer called because he was concerned that he may have had mold in the home. We came in to do our assessment and we discovered that there was a colony and breading ground of mold. We went in and removed the mold immediately and then we performed a thorough air duct cleaning and cleaned the central ac unit. Now the homeowner has clean air and a mold-free home.

A family came home from vacation to discover a water leak in their bathroom. A plumber came to fix the leak but there was water damage and what looked suspiciously like mold. They called in the team at Olympic Restoration Systems to help. 

We began by setting up a containment unit and negative air fans. The sheetrock and organic materials affected were removed. The area was cleaned with an EPA registered antimicrobial solution and HEPA vacuumed. 

Having purchased a new home, this family began a remodel, only to discover high humidity in their crawl space. They called in our team to help. To stop the issue, we installed a sump pump, dehumidifier, Cleanspace matting, and drainage matting. The owners could now install their wood floors safely, without having to worry about the humidity causing them to cup or buckle. 

This homeowner was frustrated with the musty smell in their home, especially after it rained. She thought it was due to it being an older house but ran across a website discussing mold issues in the crawl space and called us for a free evaluation. Upon investigation, our team found extensive mold growth in the crawl space. We used an EPA registered anti-microbial to remove the mold. To stop further humidity and mold issues, we added an EZflow drain system and exterior sump pumps. Four remote sensors were installed that constantly send temperature and humidity readings to a panel inside the home. Then, we installed a CleanSpace 20-mil liner along the walls, ground, and piers of the home. Afterward, the vents were sealed leaving this home protected from further mold damage. 

A large window had been leaking for years, causing mold damage in this homes living room. A containment barrier was set up in the living room along with negative air scrubbers. Baseboards, flooring, and sheetrock were removed. Using a HEPA vacuum, all exposed areas were cleaned and then wiped down with an antimicrobial solution. Another test was done, ensuring the mold was completely gone from this home, leaving the homeowners to rest easy knowing their home was safe. 

After being told a company would not advise installing new wood floors because the humidity level in the crawl space was too high and would damage them, this homeowner called us for help. First, our team removed the debris and regraded the crawl space to direct water to the sump pump system. A sump pump was installed, along with a dehumidifier. Two wireless sensors were placed to send temperature and humidity readings to a small panel inside the house. Next, CleanSpace Drainage matting was installed and a CleanSpace liner was placed on top. Silverglo insulation was fastened along the inside perimeter of the entire crawl space. Now, this homeowner can have his wood floors installed without having to worry about the damage caused from crawl space moisture. 

Mold tends to thrive in dark, wet areas. That's why these homeowners had an issue with their master bedroom closet. It was back to back with their shower. The contacted our team to help. First, we set up a containment area, with negative air scrubbers. We removed the affected materials, using an EPA registered antimicrobial and HEPA vacuum to remove the mold. 

The humidity in this crawl space was so high, water was dripping from their duct work. They contacted our team for an encapsulation system. We used CleanSpace drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, a sump pump, and a dehumidifier. With two wireless sensors sending the humidity readings to a panel inside the house, these homeowners will now be able to monitor their crawl space humidity.

These homeowners became concerned because their insulation in the crawl space was falling. Out team discovered very high humidity and moisture damage to the insulation. They decided to encapsulate. We used CleanSpace drainage matting, CleanSpace liner, a sump pump, and a dehumidifier. Additionally, we removed the fiberglass insulation and used SilverGlo, an inorganic insulation which won't lose R-value or be damaged by moisture.

When these home sellers found out their crawlspace had mold, they knew they needed to do something about it before putting the home on the market. They called our company in to help. 

By using an EPA registered anti-microbial, our team was able to remove the mold. Afterward, a preventative botanical was used. To keep the problem from returning, we installed a SaniDry sump with a temperature gauge set to a panel inside the home so the humidity levels could be constantly monitored.  

This customer had a Mold Inspection company come out for an inspection after they suspected that they had mold in their home. One of the family members is highly allergic to mold. Mold was detected by this Mold Inspection company. Seven months prior to this customer calling Olympic Restoration Systems, they had employed another restoration company for the remediation. They did not feel that the 1^st restoration company did a sufficient job because the person that is allergic to mold was still having respiratory issues. The laundry room, where the hot water heater was located, is where the mold issue was detected. The customer wanted to make sure that as a Mold Remediation company, we were licensed and certified with the state before we came to their home for an assessment and quote to complete the mold remediation.

They contacted Olympic Restoration Systems for an assessment of their home, and for a quote that they were in search of for the remediation. We scheduled an appointment with them with our 1^st available appointment. An Olympic Restoration Systems Specialist visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with the mold remediation with Olympic Restoration Systems for their home.

Our Technicians wore 2 sets, per person, per day, of personal protective equipment (PPE). One set was for the morning, one set was for the afternoon. We needed to set up a Containment Barrier/Airlock/Decontamination Chamber. We installed/erected poly doorways, walls and/or flaps and critical barriers along the top of the stairs to strategically separate the guest room from the rest of the home. We installed two air scrubbers inside of the containment and one outside the containment for 4 days. We turned the air scrubber on at the start of the remediation process, and left it running until the clearance results were received. Once the remediation work was completed, the air scrubber needed to run approximately 48 hours before the post remediation clearance inspection could be performed. We removed all the baseboard along the wall in the laundry room and partially removed the baseboard left of the laundry room closet moving into the storage room and bagged it for disposal. We tore out the drywall from the closet, cleaned up, and bagged it for disposal, as well as the insulation in the room. We used a HEPA vacuum in the exposed wall cavity, then HEPA vacuum the entire contained area. We wiped down all exposed wall cavity surfaces and water damaged drywall surfaces with an EPA-approved anti-microbial disinfectant solution. The anti-microbial disinfectant solution that was used should is designed to neutralize and inhibit the growth of microbial bacteria. We wiped down the area using a top-down motion, using a clean side of the rag each time. We used an 8-fold system for a more efficient process solution. We hauled the affected debris away.

This homeowner contacted Olympic Restoration Systems to complete a crawl space repair and encapsulation in Dallas, TX.  A wet crawl space can lead to mold growth, warping hardwood floors inside the home, musty odors, and increased allergies and asthma while in the home.
