In addition to long-term humidity control, we offer thorough mold removal for commercial and residential properties in Ellis County, TX. We remove any visible mold in addition to employing deeper removal methods that prevent regrowth. To keep moisture levels down and maintain a drier environment, we install the super effective Aspen Air Purifier that covers up to 1,500 sq. feet. Unlike other air purifiers, the Aspen does not emit ozone and only improves your indoor air quality. With easy-change-filters and the ability to remove over 99.97% of particles from the air, the Aspen is right for you.

Effective Radon Gas Mitigation

Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and is in every U.S. state, including TX. Radon is odorless, invisible, and impossible to detect without specialized equipment. Radon is also not limited to basements — we can find elevated radon levels in rooms as high as the second story. Fortunately, Olympic Restoration Systems is Ellis County’s qualified radon mitigation company, offering radon testing, radon mitigation, and other indoor air quality solutions.

If you’ve never had your home tested for radon, then you should schedule a test as soon as possible. Different factors can impact radon levels in the home, including the source of the radon, how many floors are in the home, whether you keep your windows open often, and the stack effect. We can explain all of these factors to you and install a radon mitigation system that is compatible with the current waterproofing system in your basement or crawl space.

We used an EPA registered anti-microbial to remove the mold. Mold Remediation in Waxahachie, TX

This customer had a Mold Inspection company come out for an inspection after they suspected that they had mold in their home. One of the family members is highly allergic to mold. Mold was detected by this Mold Inspection company. Seven months prior to this customer calling Olympic Restoration Systems, they had employed another restoration company for the remediation. They did not feel that the 1st restoration company did a sufficient job because the person that is allergic to mold was still having respiratory issues. The laundry room, where the hot water heater was located, is where the mold issue was detected. The customer wanted to make sure that as a Mold Remediation company, we were licensed and certified with the state before we came to their home for an assessment and quote to complete the mold remediation.

They contacted Olympic Restoration Systems for an assessment of their home, and for a quote that they were in search of for the remediation. We scheduled an appointment with them with our 1st available appointment. An Olympic Restoration Systems Specialist visited the property and proposed a quote to the customer. They proceeded with the mold remediation with Olympic Restoration Systems for their home.

Our Technicians wore 2 sets, per person, per day, of personal protective equipment (PPE). One set was for the morning, one set was for the afternoon. We needed to set up a Containment Barrier/Airlock/Decontamination Chamber. We installed/erected poly doorways, walls and/or flaps and critical barriers along the top of the stairs to strategically separate the guest room from the rest of the home. We installed two air scrubbers inside of the containment and one outside the containment for 4 days. We turned the air scrubber on at the start of the remediation process, and left it running until the clearance results were received. Once the remediation work was completed, the air scrubber needed to run approximately 48 hours before the post remediation clearance inspection could be performed. We removed all the baseboard along the wall in the laundry room and partially removed the baseboard left of the laundry room closet moving into the storage room and bagged it for disposal. We tore out the drywall from the closet, cleaned up, and bagged it for disposal, as well as the insulation in the room. We used a HEPA vacuum in the exposed wall cavity, then HEPA vacuum the entire contained area. We wiped down all exposed wall cavity surfaces and water damaged drywall surfaces with an EPA-approved anti-microbial disinfectant solution. The anti-microbial disinfectant solution that was used should is designed to neutralize and inhibit the growth of microbial bacteria. We wiped down the area using a top-down motion, using a clean side of the rag each time. We used an 8-fold system for a more efficient process solution. We hauled the affected debris away.

Crawl Space Encapsulation & Drainage Matting in Italy, TX

This homeowner contacted Olympic Restoration Systems to complete a crawl space repair and encapsulation in Dallas, TX.  A wet crawl space can lead to mold growth, warping hardwood floors inside the home, musty odors, and increased allergies and asthma while in the home. We sent one of our crawl space experts, Wayne, to the home for a free inspection and estimate. Wayne found many issues that caused moisture in the crawl space, including groundwater seepage and open crawl space vents. Wayne designed a solution to keep the crawl space dry, which included installing drainage matting and dehumidifier. This allows for the vents to be closed, and turns the crawl space into a conditioned area. The homeowner was pleased with the solution and pricing and proceeded with a full crawl space encapsulation system from Olympic Restoration Systems.

Our Production Team was able to safely and efficiently remove the mold-damaged material and flooring from the unit. In the pictures, you can see where they set up containment and used HEPA vacuums to ensure that mold and other pollutants did not circulate throughout the home during the mold removal process.
