A tenant noticed their ceiling sagging and dripping water. The cause was discovered to the be HVAC system. After the system was repaired, a mold inspection was given, verifying the presence of mold. We capped the existing blown insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose. We added 7 inches of cellulose insulation to the existing insulation to provide a combined R-value of 49. We installed over the top of a can light and sealed it with ZypFoam polyurethane foam around all edges and any holes that had been made for their electrical wires. We installed 7 more can light covers and sealed around them, throughout the attic, to prevent the airflow up from the interior of the house as well as to protect the recessed lighting from overheating. We upgraded the existing attic insulation in this customer's attic to the needed level.

A pressure field extension test to assure adequate air flow under the slab was included. We installed an active soil depressurization system in all the required units. The exhaust pipe was routed up through the ceiling of the first unit, then through the 2nd floor (unit) and into the attic. The fan was installed in the attic and the exhaust was routed out the roof.
