Mold Remediation in Hurst, TX
Challenge
There was an abundance of mold in the bathroom of this home. After seeing the extent of the issue, it was clear a certified mold inspector would be required, to identify exactly what we were working with, and to obtain a protocol for the best method to remediate. We scheduled a licensed mold inspector to come to test the location and once we received details of all the affected areas, we began work.
Solution
Work began by removing the drywall surrounding the toilet, shower, and tub, as well as insulation and other building materials that were damaged. Once all of the tainted drywall was removed, we started containment of the area. The entire bathroom needed to be quarantined off so that we could set up negative air fans to pull the mold spores out, control the moisture, and dry the room. Afterward, our team wiped all surfaces and areas down with an antimicrobial. The bathroom was then re-tested by the licensed mold inspector, to assure mold was properly removed.
