Crawl Space Remediation in Heath, TX

Challenge

This customer called and stated that there were many insects coming up through the floor of their pier and beam home. He stated that someone had attempted to encapsulate his crawl space many years prior, but he was concerned that there was a moisture problem in his crawl space. We sent a System Designs Specialist, Ross, to the property to perform a free crawl space estimate. Ross found evidence of a moisture problem in the crawl space and presented the homeowner with a solution to fix his the moisture issues in the crawl space long term. The customer accepted the proposal and proceeded with a crawl space remediation from Olympic Restoration Systems.

Solution

The production team started by removing debris from the crawl space and regrading the soil. Next, they placed a SmartSump to drain water away from the crawl space. Next, they placed drainage matting underneath a CleanSpace vapor barrier on the crawl space floor to isolate the home from the earth. Finally, they placed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the crawl space to dry any moisture from the air.
