Crawl Space Remediation in Roanoke
Challenge
These homeowners noticed their wood floors were buckling and also found a water leak in their bathroom. They called our team to inspect the water damage and find the cause of the buckled floors, which they believed could be connected to issues in the crawl space. After inspecting, we discovered significant moisture that was leaking from their faulty water heater. The moisture and humidity in the area was creating mildew and was the cause of the buckled floors.
Solution
Once we located the source of the water and notified the homeowners to repair their water heater, we set to work installing two temperature and humidity sensors that would send readings to a small panel inside the home so the homeowners would know if there was ever another leak or sudden jump in humidity. We also installed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system as well as a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the remaining humidity in the crawl space.
