Crawl Space Encapsulation in Cedar Hill
Challenge
After purchasing a new home, these homeowners began renovations. Rainwater began flooding their crawl space. Needing a solution to this problem, they contacted Olympic Restoration Systems.
Solution
We installed an EZ flow pipe around the perimeter of the crawl space to capture incoming water and direct it to the sump pump. Afterward, we installed a SmartSump pump system with liner, cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, airtight lid with an airtight floor drain and WaterWatch alarm system. A CleanSpace drainage matting and a CleanSpace vapor barrier were placed along the ground, walls and piers. A SaniDry dehumidifier was used to assure the humidity in the crawl space was controlled and two wireless sensors were fastened to send temperature and humidity readings to a small panel inside the house.
