Cold, Wet Crawl Space in McKinney, TX

Challenge

This homeowner was concerned about the cold air and musty smell in their home, which they assumed was coming from the crawl space. They called our team to help.

Solution

Our team evaluated the situation and found the moisture levels in the crawl space to be high, along with damp dirt.

We began by removing debris from the crawl space and regrading it to a pump system. We then installed a SmartSump pump system with liner, cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, airtight lid with an airtight floor drain, and WaterWatch alarm system. CleanSpace drainage matting was placed on the dirt floor and covered with a CleanSpace liner. A SaniDry CX Air System was installed to keep the humidity low, along with a small sump pump to remove water from the dehumidifier and out of the crawl space. Two wireless sensors were placed in the crawl space to send temperature and humidity readings to a small panel inside the house. Our team worked hard to ensure the moisture and humidity levels would no longer affect this owners home.
