Crawl Space Remediation in Dallas
Challenge
These homeowners were frustrated with severe buckling in the floor throughout their house and knew it was time for a crawl space inspection. When our team looked at the space, we found standing water and a high humidity level leading to substantial mold growth that was eating away at the cross beams and sub-flooring. Not only was this mold growth the cause of the warped floors, it was also harming the air quality within the home.
Solution
We first installed a SmartPump pumping system complete with EZ Flow Pipe surrounding the perimeter of the crawl space in order to remove the standing water and prevent it from becoming an issue again. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and connected that to the pump system as well so the moisture it collected could be pumped out. Next, we applied Mold-X2 Cleaner and Botanical to the areas contaminated with mold so the area would be clean and odor free. Finally, we installed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to completely line the crawl space and seal out humid vapors that rise from open soil.
