Mold Remediation in Mount Pleasant
Challenge
This middle school classroom had accumulated extensive mold across its walls, which made the air quality unsafe for the students. Our team was called in as trusted and thorough mold remediators who could restore the classroom to a healthy place.
Solution
First, we enclosed the classroom with plastic sheeting and created a decontamination chamber to control any spreading of mold spores into the rest of the school. Then, we disposed of all the shelving, flooring, and drywall that had been affected by mold. Once the surfaces that were visibly affected had been removed, we used a HEPA vacuum to clean the wall cavity and other remaining surfaces. We also cleaned those surfaces with an EPA registered antimicrobial solution. Finally, we ran air filtration devices both inside and outside the classroom to clean the microscopic mold spores from the air and ensure the room is prepared to be filled again with children.
