Customer with Crawl Space Issues in Dallas, TX
Challenge
After putting up with cupping floors and other moisture-related issues caused by the Crawl Space, the homeowner decided to contact Olympic Restoration Systems for a free appointment and estimate from one of our specialists
Solution
After the initial appointment, we agreed upon an Encapsulation System with the homeowner and set the date for work to begin. Our team removed all debris from the Crawl Space and had to regrade the soil to direct water seepage to the sump pump, or to the EZ Flow Pipe (which in turn would direct to the sump pump). They installed a SmartSump Pump System with liner, cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, airtight lid, airtight floor drain, and a WaterWatcher Alarm System. Then, the EZ Flow Pipe was installed around the Crawl Space, and then the CleanSpace Drainage Matting was put in. Finishing up with that, our team began to install the CleanSpace Liner, before installing two SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifiers and two wireless sensors as well. The sensors will send temperature and humidity readings to a small panel inside the house, so the occupant always has an idea of the humidity and moisture situation in the Crawl Space. Last, electrical outlets were installed in the Crawl Space, to prevent running extension cords or anything else hazardous, and to permanently run the Dehumidifiers and Sump Pump.
