Crawl Space Mold Issues
Challenge
A homeowner began noticing a musty smell in their home after it rained. Curious, they looked beneath the crawl space and saw what they thought might be mold. They called our team in to help. Upon investigation, we found visible mold growth due to high humidity and some standing water beneath the crawl space.
Solution
First, our team removed debris, including construction material, trash and large rocks from the crawl space. We then sprayed all the wood, including subfloor, beams and floor joists with Mold-X2 Cleaner to remove mold and applied Mold-X2 Botanical to prevent future growth. A SmartDrain with an airtight lid, airtight floor drain and WaterWatch alarm system were installed. CleanSpace drainage matting was placed on the ground and covered with a CleanSpace liner. With the mold gone and future growth prevention measures in place, this customer can relax knowing their home is once again a comfortable and safe place.
