Crawl Space Moisture Control in Irving
Challenge
A homeowner had a lot of ground water seeping in her crawl space. They had a thin vapor barrier beneath and a pump that was not working properly. They called the Olympic Restoration Systems team in to help.
Solution
After assessing the situation, our team came up with a plan. We installed a SmartSump pump system with a liner, cast iron pump, airtight lid with airtight floor drain and a WaterWatch alarm system. All debris were removed from the crawl space. Two remote sensors were installed to send temperature and humidity readings to a panel inside the home. A trench was dug for the EZ flow perimeter drain system that would collect and distribute water seepage to the sump system. Wet insulation was removed and Mold-X2 Cleaner was applied to kill the mold and remove the stains. We then applied Mold-X2 Botanical, an odor neutralizer and mold preventer to all the structural material in the crawl space. This home owner no longer has to worry about moisture or mold growing and affecting their home and health.
