Wal-Mart Hires Olympic for Not-So-Average Project
Retail giants Wal-Mart recently hired Olympic Cleaning & Restoration to be the sole contractors on quite a sizeable job.
“We were hired to perform remediation,” retells Olympic owner Darrin Saffel “in an area of the store which involved setting up a 100 foot long containment that went from the floor to the 18 foot ceiling and encompassed several aisles.”
Besides the physical size of the job, there were also some time restraints. Being that he store is open 24-hours a day and seven days a week, Darrin’s crew had to work quickly, efficiently and without any disturbance to the stores working flow.
With an inspector set to clear the work at 3:30 in the morning, the work group started setting up at 8:00 PM on a Monday night.
“There were several unexpected obstacles we had to over-come,” says Darrin. “But everyone worked together and kept moving forward until the job was successfully completed.”
Working diligently through the night and getting the proper clearance late in the morning, the crew had removed the containment barrier and had left the store by three o’clock the next day without a single safety incident or customer complaint.
“The guys worked really hard and gave it their all.”
